The appellant challenged a Zurich cantonal decision in an employment dispute but later withdrew the federal complaint. The Supreme Court therefore discontinued the proceedings. It ordered reduced court costs of CHF 300 against the appellant and denied any party compensation to the respondents, as they had incurred no expense in the federal proceedings.

In Erwägung,
dass der Beschwerdeführer den Beschluss der Verwaltungskommission des Obergerichts des Kantons Zürich vom 27. Februar 2014 mit Beschwerde vom 4. April 2014 beim Bundesgericht anfocht;
dass der Beschwerdeführer mit Schreiben vom 2. Mai 2014 mitteilte, er ziehe die Beschwerde zurück;
dass das bundesgerichtliche Verfahren damit gemäss Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG abgeschrieben werden kann;
dass die reduzierten Gerichtskosten dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 66 Abs. 2 und 3 BGG);
dass den Beschwerdegegnern keine Parteientschädigungen zuzusprechen sind, da ihnen aus dem bundesgerichtlichen Verfahren kein Aufwand erwachsen ist;
Das Verfahren wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 300.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
Es werden keine Parteientschädigungen zugesprochen.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Zürich, Verwaltungskommission, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
