l'ordonnance du 28 janvier 2008 par laquelle la Ire Cour de droit civil a rejeté cette requête;
l'ordonnance présidentielle du 1er février 2008 invitant le recourant à verser une avance de frais de 2'000 fr. jusqu'au 18 février 2008, puis, par prolongation de délai accordée le 26 février 2008, jusqu'au 10 mars 2008;
la lettre du 4 mars 2008 par laquelle le mandataire du recourant déclare retirer le recours;
considérant:
qu'il y a lieu de prendre acte de ce retrait et de rayer la cause du rôle (art. 73 PCF, applicable par renvoi de l'art. 71 LTF; art. 32 al. 2 LTF);
que la recourante supportera les frais judiciaires, qu'il y a lieu d'arrêter à 200 fr. (art. 65 al. 1 et 3 let. b et 66 al. 2 et 3 LTF);
par ces motifs, le Président ordonne:

Il est pris acte du retrait du recours en matière civile.

La cause 4A_504/2007 est rayée du rôle.
3.
Les frais judiciaires, arrêtés à 200 fr., sont mis à la charge du recourant.

La présente ordonnance est communiquée aux mandataires des parties et au Tribunal cantonal des assurances sociales de la République et Canton de Genève, Chambre 8.
