The appellants filed a cost complaint and recusal request in Zurich, which the cantonal administration commission declined to hear and forwarded to the Federal Supreme Court. After the federal proceedings were opened, the appellants submitted a new filing asking the Federal Supreme Court not to enter into their complaint. The Court construed this as a withdrawal declaration and struck the proceedings from the roll. In view of the circumstances, it waived the imposition of court costs.
Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG; withdrawal of an appeal and discontinuance of proceedings; Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG permits waiver of court costs where the circumstances so justify. If an appellant's subsequent submission is objectively to be understood as a withdrawal declaration, the Federal Supreme Court may strike the case from the roll in summary procedure. In such a case, costs may be dispensed with in accordance with the court's discretion.

In Erwägung,
dass die Beschwerdeführer am 17. Februar 2009 bei der Verwaltungskommission des Obergerichts des Kantons Zürich eine Kostenbeschwerde und ein Ablehnungsbegehren einreichten, die sich gegen einen Entscheid des Kassationsgerichts des Kantons Zürich vom 5. Januar 2009 richteten;
dass die Verwaltungskommission des Obergerichts mit Beschluss vom 19. Februar 2009 auf die Beschwerde und das Ablehnungsbegehren nicht eintrat und anordnete, dass die Eingabe der Beschwerdeführer dem dafür zuständigen Bundesgericht zugestellt werde;
dass das Bundesgericht am 24. Februar 2009 in dieser Sache ein Verfahren eröffnete und die Beschwerdeführer darüber informierte;
dass die Beschwerdeführer dem Bundesgericht eine vom 25. Februar 2009 datierte Eingabe einreichten, in der sie das Bundesgericht aufforderten, auf ihre bei der Verwaltungskommission des Obergerichts eingereichte Beschwerde nicht einzutreten;
dass die Äusserung der Beschwerdeführer als Rückzugserklärung zu verstehen ist, womit das bundesgerichtliche Verfahren abgeschrieben werden kann;
dass unter den gegebenen Umständen auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten zu verzichten ist (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG);
verfügt die Präsidentin im Verfahren nach Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG:

Das Verfahren wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.

Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
3.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien, dem Obergericht und dem Kassationsgericht des Kantons Zürich schriftlich mitgeteilt.
