The appellants withdrew their constitutional complaint against the Bern Appellate Court decision of 8 August 2008. The Federal Supreme Court therefore discontinued the proceedings and ordered the appellants to pay court costs of CHF 300. The order was issued by the presiding member of the First Civil Law Division in written proceedings.
Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG, Art. 66 Abs. 3 BGG; withdrawal of the appeal: withdrawal renders the proceedings moot and they are to be struck from the docket. Costs follow the withdrawal and are ordinarily imposed on the withdrawing appellant(s), absent special circumstances justifying a different allocation. dass die Gerichtskosten den Beschwerdeführern aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 66 Abs. 3 BGG);
verfügt das präsidierende Mitglied gemäss Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG:

Das Verfahren wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.

Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 300.-- werden den Beschwerdeführern auferlegt.
3.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Bern, Appellationshof, 1. Zivilkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
