The Federal Court dealt with a complaint against a circular decision of the Thurgau cantonal court concerning autopsy/patient directive matters. Before the Federal Court ruled on the merits, the appellant withdrew the complaint by letter of 13 February 2008. The President of the II Civil Law Division therefore discontinued the proceedings. Court costs of CHF 300 were charged to the appellant.

Art. 73 BZP; withdrawal of the appeal before decision: where the appellant withdraws the federal complaint, the proceedings are struck from the docket by the presiding judge. verfügt der Präsident:

Das Verfahren wird als durch Rückzug der Beschwerde erledigt abgeschrieben.

Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 300.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
