Faits:

X.________ a porté plainte pénale contre le Dr Y.________, auquel il reprochait de s'être fait l'auteur de divers rapports psychiatriques et dont les conclusions avaient été diffusées par la presse.
Par arrêt du 15 mars 2010, la Chambre pénale du Tribunal cantonal de l'État de Fribourg a confirmé le refus du juge d'instruction d'ouvrir l'action pénale.

X.________ recourt au Tribunal fédéral contre cet arrêt.
Il demande l'assistance judiciaire.

Considérant en droit:

En vertu de l'art. 42 al. 1 et 2 LTF, le recourant doit, à peine d'irrecevabilité (art. 108 al. 1 let. b LTF), motiver son recours en exposant succinctement en quoi la décision attaquée viole le droit.
Dans le cas présent, l'arrêt attaqué confirme le refus d'ouvrir l'action pénale au motif que les faits dénoncés par le recourant pourraient être constitutifs, tout au plus, d'atteintes à l'honneur, que les infractions contre l'honneur se poursuivent exclusivement sur plainte et que la plainte pénale déposée par le recourant est tardive. Le recourant, qui plaide sur le fond de toutes ses affaires, ne critique pas cette motivation. Il n'indique dès lors pas en quoi, selon lui, l'arrêt attaqué viole le droit. Partant, son recours, insuffisamment motivé, doit être écarté en application de l'art. 108 al. 1 let. b LTF.

Comme ses conclusions sont apparues d'emblée dénuées de toute chance de succès, le recourant doit être débouté de sa demande d'assistance judiciaire (art. 64 al. 1 LTF a contrario) et supporter les frais de justice (art. 66 al. 1 LTF). Ceux-ci seront réduits pour tenir compte de sa situation financière.

Par ces motifs, le Président prononce:

Le recours est déclaré irrecevable.

2.
La demande d'assistance judiciaire est rejetée.

3.
Les frais judiciaires, arrêtés à 500 fr., sont mis à la charge du recourant.

4.
Le présent arrêt est communiqué aux parties et à la Chambre pénale du Tribunal cantonal de l'État de Fribourg.
