X. filed a criminal appeal against a decision of the Berne cantonal criminal appeals chamber. After being asked to pay an advance on costs, he indicated that he wished to terminate the dispute for financial reasons. The Federal Supreme Court warned him that this letter would be treated as a withdrawal unless he objected by 22 July 2013. No objection followed, so the court took note of the withdrawal, struck the case from the roll, and ordered no judicial costs.
Art. 32 al. 2 LTF; withdrawal of appeal and removal from the roll. Where the appellant, after being invited to react to a warning that a written statement will be construed as a withdrawal, remains silent, the court may take note of the withdrawal and strike the cause from the docket. In such a procedural termination, judicial costs may be waived.

que, par acte reçu au Tribunal fédéral le 26 juin 2013, X.________ a interjeté un recours en matière pénale contre la décision BK 13 158 VOF rendue le 14 juin 2013 par la Chambre de recours pénale de la Cour suprême du canton de Berne;
qu'invité à s'acquitter d'une avance de frais de 800 fr., le prénommé a répondu qu'il lui avait été recommandé de mettre un terme au litige l'opposant aux autorités bernoises compte tenu de ses ressources financières (cf. lettre du 5 juillet 2013);
que, par ordonnance présidentielle du 9 juillet 2013, la Cour de droit pénal du Tribunal fédéral a informé le recourant que son courrier du 5 juillet 2013 serait interprété comme constitutif d'un retrait du recours contre la décision cantonale précitée, sauf avis contraire formulé jusqu'au 22 juillet 2013 au plus tard;
que l'ordonnance présidentielle étant restée sans suite, il convient de prendre acte de ce retrait et de rayer la cause du rôle (art. 32 al. 2 LTF), sans frais.
Il est pris acte du retrait du recours et l'affaire 6B_602/2013 est rayée du rôle.
Il n'est pas prélevé de frais judiciaires.
La présente ordonnance est communiquée aux parties et à la Chambre de recours pénale de la Cour suprême du canton de Berne.

After a warning that the appellant's letter would be interpreted as a withdrawal absent contrary notice, no response followed; the court therefore recorded the withdrawal under Art. 32(2) LTF.
