Art. 42 Abs. 2 BGG; Art. 108 BGG: A federal complaint is inadmissible if it does not specifically address the reasoning of the challenged decision and does not show in what respect that decision allegedly violates federal law. Where the cantonal authority has not ruled on the merits, the Federal Supreme Court cannot examine the substantive issues in the first instance. Art. 64 BGG: free legal aid is refused when the appeal is hopeless. Art. 65 Abs. 2 and Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG: costs are imposed on the unsuccessful party, but the amount may be adjusted to financial circumstances.

Am 13. August 2013 trat das Obergericht des Kantons Zug auf eine Beschwerde nicht ein, weil sie nicht hinreichend begründet war. Mit den Begründungsanforderungen des kantonalen Rechtsmittels befasst sich die Beschwerdeführerin in ihrer Eingabe vor Bundesgericht nicht. Diese genügt folglich den Anforderungen von Art. 42 Abs. 2 BGG nicht, wonach anzugeben ist, inwieweit der angefochtene Entscheid nach Auffassung der Beschwerdeführerin gegen das Recht verstossen soll. Demgegenüber kann sich das Bundesgericht mit der materiellen Seite der Angelegenheit nicht befassen, weil sich die Vorinstanz dazu nicht geäussert hat. Auf die Beschwerde ist im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.
Die Gerichtskosten sind der Beschwerdeführerin aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG). Das nachträglich gestellte Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege ist in Anwendung von Art. 64 BGG abzuweisen, weil die Rechtsbegehren aussichtslos erschienen. Der finanziellen Lage der Beschwerdeführerin (vgl. act. 10 und 11) ist bei der Bemessung der Gerichtskosten Rechnung zu tragen (Art. 65 Abs. 2 BGG).
Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
Das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wird abgewiesen.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden der Beschwerdeführerin auferlegt.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Zug, I. Beschwerdeabteilung, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
