The appellant filed a complaint against a decision of the Zurich Administrative Court in a social welfare matter. After the Federal Court had set and extended a deadline for paying the advance costs, the appellant still failed to pay. The single judge therefore, in simplified procedure, did not enter into the appeal and ordered the appellant to pay CHF 300 in court costs.
Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG; non-payment of the advance on costs within the grace period leads to non-entry on the appeal in simplified procedure under Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a and Abs. 2 BGG. The court may decide without further examination where the appellant fails to comply with the ordered advance payment; costs are charged according to Art. 66 Abs. 1 and 3 BGG.

in die Verfügung vom 23. Juli 2012, worin auf Ausstandsbegehren nicht eingetreten, das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege abgewiesen und eine Frist zur Leistung des anberaumten Kostenvorschusses angesetzt wurde,
in die Verfügung vom 8. Oktober 2012, mit welcher B.________ zur Bezahlung eines Kostenvorschusses innert einer Nachfrist bis zum 19. Oktober 2012 verpflichtet wurde, ansonsten auf das Rechtsmittel nicht eingetreten werde,
in Erwägung,
dass der Beschwerdeführer den Vorschuss auch innerhalb der Nachfrist nicht geleistet hat,
dass deshalb gestützt auf Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a und Abs. 2 BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht einzutreten ist und der Beschwerdeführer nach Art. 66 Abs. 1 und 3 BGG kostenpflichtig wird,
erkennt die Einzelrichterin:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 300.- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und der Stadt Kloten schriftlich mitgeteilt.
