The appellant withdrew his appeal against the Zug Administrative Court’s decision. The Federal Court therefore struck the case off the docket in written proceedings. Because of the circumstances, it waived the collection of court costs. The order was communicated to the parties, the cantonal administrative court, and the Federal Office for Social Insurance.

dass in Anwendung von Art. 66 Abs. 2 BGG umständehalber auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten verzichtet wird,
Das Verfahren wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.
Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien, dem Verwaltungsgericht des Kantons Zug und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
