The appellant challenged a cantonal judgment concerning supplementary benefits to AHV/IV. The Federal Supreme Court held that the filing did not contain a valid prayer for relief and did not explain in any legally sufficient manner why the factual findings or legal reasoning were wrong. In simplified procedure, the Court therefore did not enter into the appeal. Because the appeal was hopeless, the request for free legal representation was denied; no court costs were charged, making the request for free proceedings moot.
Art. 42 Abs. 1 und 2 BGG, Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG; form and reasoning requirements for a federal appeal. An appeal must contain a clear request and, in concise form, a substantiated explanation showing how the challenged decision violates the law. Mere dissatisfaction with the outcome or unparticularized criticism of the facts is insufficient. If these minimum requirements are manifestly not met, the court may decline to enter in simplified procedure. A request for free legal representation is to be refused where the appeal is devoid of prospects of success; if no costs are charged, the request for exemption from costs becomes moot (consid. 1).

in die Beschwerde vom 24. Oktober 2012 (Poststempel) gegen den Entscheid des Kantonsgerichts Wallis, Sozialversicherungsrechtliche Abteilung, vom 26. September 2012 (S1 11 206-208, S1 12 66),
in Erwägung,
dass ein Rechtsmittel gemäss Art. 42 Abs. 1 und 2 BGG unter anderem die Begehren und deren Begründung zu enthalten hat, wobei in der Begründung in gedrängter Form darzulegen ist, inwiefern der angefochtene Akt Recht verletzt,
dass die Beschwerde diesen inhaltlichen Mindestanforderungen nicht genügt, da sie keinen rechtsgenüglichen Antrag enthält und den Ausführungen auch nicht ansatzweise entnommen werden kann, inwiefern die Sachverhaltsfeststellung - soweit überhaupt beanstandet - unzutreffend und die darauf beruhenden Erwägungen rechtsfehlerhaft sein sollen,
dass die Beschwerdeführerin in Bezug auf das Nichteintreten nicht näher darlegt, weshalb die Vorinstanz auf die Beschwerde hätte eintreten sollen,
dass deshalb im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht einzutreten ist und in Anwendung von Art. 66 Abs. 1 Satz 2 BGG auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten verzichtet wird, womit das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Prozessführung gegenstandslos ist,
dass das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Verbeiständung abzuweisen ist, weil schon die Beschwerde aussichtslos ist,
erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wird abgewiesen.
3.
Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
4.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Kantonsgericht Wallis, Sozialversicherungsrechtliche Abteilung, und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
