The Federal Criminal Court’s complaint chamber dealt with a jurisdiction complaint against the Solothurn public prosecutor’s takeover of a Basel-Stadt case involving alleged traffic and weapons offences. Before the court could decide the merits, A. withdrew the complaint. The chamber therefore struck the proceedings off as concluded and ordered A. to pay the minimum court fee of CHF 200.
Art. 41 Abs. 2 StPO; withdrawal of a jurisdiction complaint; cost consequences. If the appellant withdraws the complaint, the dispute becomes moot and the proceedings must be struck off as concluded. In such a situation, the appellant generally bears the procedural costs pursuant to Art. 428 Abs. 1 StPO; the court fee may be fixed at the statutory and regulatory minimum where appropriate (consid. 2).

Die Beschwerdekammer zieht in Erwägung, dass:
A. dagegen mit Beschwerde vom 10. Juni 2015 an die Beschwerdekammer des Bundesstrafgerichts gelangte (act. 1), die Beschwerde jedoch mit Schreiben vom 8. Juli 2015 zurückzog (act. 4);
der Rückzug der Beschwerde den Rechtsstreit beendet, weshalb das Beschwerdeverfahren als erledigt abzuschreiben ist (vgl. Beschluss des Bundesstrafgerichts BG.2014.39 vom 19. Februar 2015);
bei diesem Ausgang des Verfahrens der Beschwerdeführer dessen Kosten zu tragen hat (Art. 428 Abs. 1 StPO);
diese auf das gesetzliche und reglementarische Minimum von Fr. 200.-- festzusetzen sind (Art. 73 StBOG und Art. 5 und 8 Abs. 1 BStKR).

Demnach erkennt die Beschwerdekammer:
Das Beschwerdeverfahren wird zufolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde als erledigt abgeschrieben.
Die Gerichtsgebühr von Fr. 200.-- wird dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

Yes. The withdrawal ended the dispute, so the complaint proceedings were closed as moot.
Once the appellant withdrew the complaint, there was no longer a live controversy to decide; the proceedings therefore had to be archived as concluded.

The appellant had to bear the procedural costs, set at the statutory minimum of CHF 200.
