The Cantonal Insurance Court noted that the appeal of 10 January 2000 against the invalidity insurance decision of 14 December 1999 had been withdrawn by letter of 20 January 2000, because the insured person had died in the meantime. Since the matter had therefore become devoid of object, the single judge ordered the case struck off the roll and decided that no taxes or costs would be charged. Notice was to be given to the parties in accordance with law.
Mootness after withdrawal of appeal and supervening death of the insured; where the appellant withdraws the appeal and the disputed subject matter has ceased to exist, the proceedings are to be removed from the docket as devoid of object.
