The claimant appealed a decision of the cantonal compensation fund concerning supplementary benefits. After the tribunal set a response deadline for the respondent, the appellant notified the court that the appeal was withdrawn. The president of the Ticino Cantonal Insurance Court therefore found the case moot, struck it from the docket, and ordered that no court fees or costs be collected.
Withdrawal of the appeal renders the proceedings devoid of object; the court may strike the case from the roll. In such a situation, and absent special circumstances, no court fees or expenses are levied (consid. 1-2).
