The appellants challenged two decisions of the cantonal compensation fund concerning supplementary benefits. During the second-instance proceedings, they withdrew the appeal by letter of 28 August 2002. The Cantonal Insurance Court held that the case had become moot, ordered it struck from the docket, and decided that no court fees or costs would be charged.
Withdrawal of the appeal renders the proceedings devoid of object; the court may strike the case from the roll. In such a situation, and absent special circumstances, no court fees or costs are levied (consid. implicit; Legge di procedura 6.4.61).

rilevato che la causa è divenuta priva di oggetto;
viste le disposizioni della Legge di procedura 6.4.61;
decreta 1. la causa è stralciata dai ruoli;
non si percepiscono né tasse né spese;
intimazione alle parti a sensi ed effetti di legge.
