The claimant appealed a decision of the cantonal family allowances fund concerning a birth allowance. After the court had set a deadline for the respondent to file a reply, the appellant informed the court on 5 May 2000 that the appeal was withdrawn. The Tribunal cantonale delle assicurazioni therefore held that the dispute had become moot and ordered the case struck off the docket, with no court fees or costs charged.
