In this first-instance civil judgment, the Aachen District Court ordered the defendant to pay the plaintiff DM 99 and DM 200 in pain-and-suffering compensation for 9 March through 31 August 1991, together with 4% interest on DM 299 from 7 September 1991. The remainder of the claim was dismissed. The plaintiff was allocated three quarters of the court costs and seven tenths of the extrajudicial costs; the defendant was allocated the balance. The judgment was declared provisionally enforceable.
