che modifica il regolamento (CE) n. 2368/2002 del Consiglio relativo all'attuazione del sistema di certificazione del processo di Kimberley per il commercio internazionale di diamanti grezzi
LA COMMISSIONE DELLE COMUNITÀ EUROPEE,
visto il trattato che istituisce la Comunità europea,
visto il regolamento (CE) n. 2368/2002 del Consiglio, del 20 dicembre 2002, relativo all'attuazione del sistema di certificazione del processo di Kimberley per il commercio internazionale di diamanti grezzi 1 , in particolare l'articolo 20,
considerando quanto segue:
(1) L'articolo 20 del regolamento (CE) n. 2368/2002 consente di modificare l'elenco dei partecipanti al sistema di certificazione del processo di Kimberley di cui all'allegato II.
(2) Il presidente del sistema di certificazione del processo di Kimberley ha deciso, mediante avviso datato 20 ottobre 2006, di inserire il Bangladesh nell’elenco dei partecipanti a decorrere dal 20 ottobre 2006.
(3) La Bulgaria ha notificato alla CE che il suo ministro delle finanze è stato designato autorità competente responsabile dell'attuazione del sistema di certificazione del processo di Kimberley.
(4) Occorre pertanto modificare di conseguenza l'allegato II,
HA ADOTTATO IL PRESENTE REGOLAMENTO:
L'allegato II del regolamento (CE) n. 2368/2002 è sostituito dal testo dell'allegato al presente regolamento.
Il presente regolamento entra in vigore il giorno successivo a quello della pubblicazione nella Gazzetta ufficiale dell’Unione europea .
Esso si applica a decorrere dal 20 ottobre 2006.
Il presente regolamento è obbligatorio in tutti i suoi elementi e direttamente applicabile in ciascuno degli Stati membri. Fatto a Bruxelles, il 6 novembre 2006. Per la Commissione Benita FERRERO-WALDNER Membro della Commissione
