The appellants withdrew their public-law appeal against a judgment of the St. Gallen Administrative Court concerning restoration of the lawful situation. The Federal Court therefore struck the case off the docket. It ordered the appellants to pay court costs of CHF 500 under Art. 66 BGG and denied any party compensation.

dass X.________ mit Schreiben vom 28. April 2008 ihre Beschwerde vom 26. März 2008 zurückgezogen haben;
dass das Beschwerdeverfahren somit als durch Beschwerderückzug erledigt abzuschreiben ist;
dass die Beschwerdeführer die Gerichtskosten zu tragen haben (Art. 66 BGG);
dass keine Parteientschädigungen zuzusprechen sind;
verfügt der Präsident:

Das Verfahren 1C_139/2008 wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden den Beschwerdeführern auferlegt.
3.
Es werden keine Parteientschädigungen zugesprochen.
4.
Diese Verfügung wird den Beschwerdeführern, der Politischen Gemeinde Goldingen sowie der Regierung und dem Verwaltungsgericht des Kantons St. Gallen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
