The Federal Supreme Court dealt with an appeal in a lease termination dispute. Vu l'ordonnance du 11 septembre 2012 invitant les recourants à verser jusqu'au 26 septembre 2012 une avance de frais de 500 fr. et l'ordonnance du 1er octobre 2012 fixant en application de l'art. 62 al. 3 LTF un délai supplémentaire jusqu'au 16 octobre 2012.
Que l'avance de frais requise n'a pas été effectuée dans les délais impartis.
Que le recours est dès lors irrecevable faute d'avance de frais (art. 62 al. 3 LTF).
Que les frais judiciaires sont à mettre à la charge des recourants, solidairement entre eux (art. 66 al 1, 3 et 5 LTF).
par ces motifs, vu l'art. 108 al. 1 let. a LTF, la Présidente prononce:

Le recours est irrecevable.

Les frais judiciaires, arrêtés à 500 fr., sont mis à la charge des recourants, solidairement entre eux.

Le présent arrêt est communiqué aux parties et au Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud, Cour d'appel civile.
