The appellant challenged a Ticino appellate judgment in an eviction matter before the Federal Supreme Court. After being ordered to pay an advance on costs of CHF 4,000 and then granted a supplementary deadline under Art. 62(3) LTF, he still failed to pay anything. Considerando:
che il 27 settembre 2012 A.________ è insorto al Tribunale federale con un ricorso contro la sentenza emanata il 21 agosto 2012 dalla Seconda Camera civile del Tribunale d'appello del Cantone Ticino;
che con decreto del 1° ottobre 2012 il ricorrente è stato invano invitato a versare un anticipo spese di fr. 4'000.--;
che con decreto del 22 ottobre 2012 è stato fissato al ricorrente, giusta l'art. 62 cpv. 3 LTF, un termine suppletorio sino al 6 novembre 2012, con l'avvertenza che in assenza di pagamento entro tale termine il rimedio sarebbe dichiarato inammissibile;
che in tempo utile non è intervenuto alcun versamento;
che in queste circostanze l'impugnativa non può essere vagliata nel merito (art. 62 cpv. 3 LTF) e il ricorso, manifestamente inammissibile, può essere evaso mediante la procedura semplificata di cui all'art. 108 cpv. 1 lett. a LTF;
che le spese giudiziarie seguono la soccombenza (art. 66 cpv. 1 LTF);
per questi motivi, la Presidente pronuncia:

Il ricorso è inammissibile.
2.
Le spese giudiziarie di fr. 500.-- sono poste a carico del ricorrente.
3.
Comunicazione alle parti e alla Seconda Camera civile del Tribunale d'appello del Cantone Ticino.

No. The appeal was manifestly inadmissible because the appellant did not pay the advance within the supplementary deadline.
Under Art. 62(3) LTF, failure to pay the required advance after a warned supplementary period prevents examination on the merits and leads to inadmissibility, decided summarily under Art. 108(1)(a) LTF.
