The appellant challenged the decision of the Basel-Landschaft Civil Law Court in an employment-contract matter by constitutional complaint before the Federal Supreme Court. He did not pay the ordered advance on costs even after the court fixed an additional deadline. The Federal Supreme Court therefore declined to enter into the complaint in summary proceedings and imposed court costs of CHF 500 on the appellant.
Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG in conjunction with Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG; non-payment of the advance on costs after expiry of the additional time limit leads to non-entry on the appeal in summary proceedings. If the appellant remains in default despite a grace period, the court need not examine the merits. Court costs are borne by the unsuccessful party pursuant to Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG.

dass die Gerichtskosten dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG);
erkennt die Präsidentin:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

Dieses Urteil wird dem Beschwerdeführer, der Präsidentin des Bezirksgerichts Arlesheim und dem Kantonsgericht Basel-Landschaft, Abteilung Zivilrecht, schriftlich mitgeteilt.

No; the complaint was not entered into because the advance on costs remained unpaid even after the grace period.
Under Art. 62(3) BGG and the summary procedure of Art. 108(1)(a) BGG, failure to pay the required advance after the additional deadline leads to non-entry.
Allocation of court costs.
Court costs were imposed on the appellant in the amount of CHF 500.
As the unsuccessful party in the non-entry decision, the appellant had to bear the court costs under Art. 66(1) BGG.
