dass der Beschwerdeführer den ihm auferlegten Kostenvorschuss auch innerhalb der mit Verfügung vom 12. Dezember 2013 angesetzten Nachfrist nicht geleistet hat, weshalb gestützt auf Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG und im Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht einzutreten ist;
dass die Gerichtskosten dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG);
Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Bern, Zivilabteilung, 2. Zivilkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.

No. Because the advance was not paid even during the additional deadline, the court did not enter into the appeal.
Under Art. 62(3) BGG and Art. 108(1)(a) BGG, failure to pay the required advance within the set time limit leads to non-entry.
Allocation of court costs.
The court costs were imposed on the appellant.
As the non-entered appeal failed due to the appellant's default, the costs were charged to him under Art. 66(1) BGG.
