The Federal Supreme Court noted that, because the parallel appeal in reform had already led to the annulment of the challenged cantonal judgment, the public law appeal had become moot. It therefore struck the appeal off the docket. Since the second remedy had been unnecessary, the court ordered the appellant to bear the federal court fee of CHF 1,000 and to pay the respondent CHF 2,500 in compensation.

Ritenuto in fatto e considerando in diritto:
che in data odierna, in esito al parallelo ricorso per riforma, la sentenza impugnata è stata annullata;
che pertanto il presente ricorso di diritto pubblico è divenuto senza oggetto;
che il deposito del ricorso di diritto pubblico ha comportato la stesura di una risposta;
che, rivelandosi il secondo rimedio superfluo, appare giustificato porre le spese processuali e le ripetibili a carico della ricorrente (art. 156 cpv. 6 e 159 cpv. 5 OG);
Per questi motivi, il Tribunale federale decide:
1.
Il ricorso di diritto pubblico è stralciato dai ruoli perché divenuto privo d'oggetto.
2.
La tassa di giustizia di fr. 1'000.-- è posta a carico della ricorrente, la quale rifonderà all'opponente fr. 2'500.-- per ripetibili della sede federale.
3.
Comunicazione ai patrocinatori delle parti e alla II Camera civile del Tribunale d'appello del Cantone Ticino.

The appeal had become moot and was removed from the docket.
Because the impugned judgment was annulled in the parallel appeal in reform, the public law appeal no longer had any предмет for adjudication.
How to allocate court costs and party compensation after the appeal became superfluous.
Costs and compensation were charged to the appellant.
Since the second remedy had become unnecessary, it was justified to put the procedural costs and the respondent's compensation on the appellant under Art. 156(6) and Art. 159(5) OG.
