The Federal Supreme Court dealt with an appeal in a divorce case concerning child custody, child maintenance, and visitation rights. The appellant filed a federal appeal against the Thurgau Higher Court judgment, but his submission contained no reasoning. The Court held that an appeal under Arts. 72 ff. BGG must identify, in concise form, how the challenged decision violates federal law; a later promised supplement after expiry of the appeal period could not be considered. The Court therefore did not enter into the appeal and charged the appellant with court costs of CHF 1,000.

The unsuccessful appellant bears the costs (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG; consid. 1).

Nach Einsicht
in die Beschwerde gemäss Art. 72 ff. BGG (Postaufgabe: 15. Oktober 2010, Eingang beim Bundesgericht: 18. Oktober 2010) gegen das Urteil vom 2. September 2010 des Obergerichts des Kantons Thurgau, das (auf Berufung des Beschwerdeführers hin) ein erstinstanzliches Scheidungsurteil (Zuteilung der fünf Kinder an die Beschwerdegegnerin, Verpflichtung des Beschwerdeführers zu Kinderunterhaltsbeiträgen von je Fr. 367.65, Besuchsrecht des Beschwerdeführers), soweit nicht bereits in Rechtskraft erwachsen, bestätigt hat,

in Erwägung,
dass das Obergericht erwog, der vom Beschwerdeführer offensichtlich nur aus Trotz gestellte Antrag auf Verzicht auf ein Besuchsrecht sei abzuweisen, zumal die Wohnverhältnisse des Beschwerdeführers die Ausübung eines solchen ermöglichten, auch die erstinstanzliche Berechnung der Kinderunterhaltsbeiträge (hypothetisches Nettomonatseinkommen eines Invaliden von Fr. 4'350.--, Notbedarf von Fr. 2'350.--) sei bei einem verfügbaren Betrag von Fr. 2'000.-- nicht zu beanstanden,
dass die Beschwerde nach Art. 72 ff. BGG nebst einem Antrag eine Begründung zu enthalten hat, in welcher in gedrängter Form dargelegt wird, inwiefern der angefochtene Entscheid Recht (Art. 95 f. BGG) verletzt (Art. 42 Abs. 1 und 2 BGG), ansonst auf die Beschwerde nicht eingetreten wird (Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG),
dass die Eingabe des Beschwerdeführers an das Bundesgericht keine Begründung enthält,
dass die vom Beschwerdeführer in Aussicht gestellte Begründung nach Ablauf der 30-tägigen Beschwerdefrist (Art. 100 Abs. 1 BGG; Zustellung des obergerichtlichen Urteils: 17. September 2010) nicht nachgereicht werden kann,
dass somit auf die - keine Begründung enthaltende - Beschwerde in Anwendung von Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG nicht einzutreten ist,
dass der unterliegende Beschwerdeführer kostenpflichtig wird (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG),
dass in den Fällen des Art. 108 Abs. 1 BGG das vereinfachte Verfahren zum Zuge kommt und die Abteilungspräsidentin zuständig ist,

erkennt die Präsidentin:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 1'000.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Thurgau schriftlich mitgeteilt.
