The Federal Supreme Court held that the appeal against the Thurgau Higher Court’s decision on attachment objection was filed out of time. The appellant had received the cantonal decision on 29 September 2011, but the appeal was only handed to the Swiss Post on 1 November 2011, after the 30-day deadline. The appellant’s conditional withdrawal based on waiver of the advance on costs was ineffective. The Court therefore did not enter into the appeal, rejected the request for legal aid as hopeless, and imposed CHF 500 in costs on the appellant.
Art. 100 Abs. 1, Art. 48 Abs. 1, Art. 64 Abs. 1, Art. 66 Abs. 1 and Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG; timeliness of the appeal, ineffectiveness of conditional withdrawal, and consequences of manifest inadmissibility. An appeal must be filed within 30 days of service of the reasoned cantonal decision; filing occurs upon handing over to the postal service. If the deadline is missed, the appeal is manifestly inadmissible and the court does not enter into it under the summary procedure. A withdrawal of an appeal is unconditional; a conditional withdrawal is legally ineffective. Legal aid is refused where the appeal lacks prospects of success, and costs are borne by the unsuccessful party.

Nach Einsicht
in die Beschwerde nach Art. 72 ff. BGG gegen den Entscheid vom 17. August 2011 des Obergerichts des Kantons Thurgau,
in Erwägung,
dass der Rückzug von Beschwerden bedingungsfeindlich ist, weshalb der von der Beschwerdeführerin (nach zweiter Aufforderung zur Leistung eines Kostenvorschusses von Fr. 3'000.--) unter der Bedingung des Kostenerlasses erklärte Beschwerderückzug unbeachtlich zu bleiben hat und die Beschwerde urteilsmässig zu erledigen ist,
dass die Beschwerde nach Art. 72 ff. BGG - von hier nicht vorliegenden Fällen abgesehen - innert 30 Tagen nach der Eröffnung des begründeten kantonalen Entscheids beim Bundesgericht einzureichen oder zu dessen Handen der Schweizerischen Post zu übergeben ist (Art. 100 Abs. 1, Art. 48 Abs. 1 BGG),
dass die Beschwerdeführerin den angefochtenen Entscheid des Obergerichts vom 17. August 2011 am 29. September 2011 auf dem Weg der internationalen Rechtshilfe zugestellt erhalten hat,
dass indessen die (in Schweden aufgegebene) Beschwerde an das Bundesgericht erst am Dienstag, den 1. November 2011 der Schweizerischen Post übergeben und damit nach Ablauf der Beschwerdefrist (unter Berücksichtigung des Wochenendes Montag, den 31. Oktober 2011) eingereicht worden ist,
dass sich somit die Beschwerde als verspätet und daher als offensichtlich unzulässig erweist, weshalb darauf in Anwendung von Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG nicht einzutreten ist,
dass das nachträglich sinngemäss gestellte Gesuch der Beschwerdeführerin um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege in Anbetracht der Aussichtslosigkeit der Beschwerde abzuweisen ist (Art. 64 Abs. 1 BGG),
dass die unterliegende Beschwerdeführerin kostenpflichtig wird (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG),
dass im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 BGG die Abteilungspräsidentin zuständig ist,
erkennt die Präsidentin:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Das sinngemässe Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wird abgewiesen.
3.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden der Beschwerdeführerin auferlegt.
4.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Thurgau schriftlich mitgeteilt.

The challenged decision was received on 2011-09-29, while the appeal was handed to the Swiss Post only on 2011-11-01, after the 30-day deadline had expired.

In light of the obvious inadmissibility of the late appeal, the request for legal aid had to be rejected under Art. 64(1) BGG.
