in die Beschwerde gemäss Art. 72 ff. BGG gegen das Urteil vom 13. Dezember 2012 des Obergerichts des Kantons Zug, das eine Berufung des Beschwerdeführers abgewiesen und einen erstinstanzlichen Eheschutzentscheid bestätigt hat,
in das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege,
in Erwägung,
dass die Beschwerde nach Art. 72 ff. BGG innert 30 Tagen nach der Eröffnung des kantonalen Entscheids beim Bundesgericht einzureichen oder zu dessen Handen der Schweizerischen Post zu übergeben ist (Art. 100 Abs. 1, 48 Abs. 1 BGG),
dass der Friststillstand gemäss Art. 46 Abs. 1 lit. c BGG in Fällen wie dem vorliegenden, wo sich die Beschwerde gegen ein im Rahmen eines Verfahrens betreffend Eheschutzmassnahmen ergangenes Urteil und damit gegen einen vorsorglichen Massnahmeentscheid im Sinne von Art. 98 BGG richtet, kraft der ausdrücklichen Vorschrift des Art. 46 Abs. 2 BGG nicht gilt (BGE 133 III 393 E. 5 S. 396 f.),
dass das Urteil des Obergerichts vom 13. Dezember 2012 dem Anwalt des Beschwerdeführers am 17. Dezember 2012 eröffnet worden ist,
dass der Beschwerdeführer die Beschwerde an das Bundesgericht erst am 31. Januar 2013 und damit nach Ablauf der Beschwerdefrist (Mittwoch, den 16. Januar 2013) der Post übergeben hat,
dass sich somit die Beschwerde als verspätet und daher als offensichtlich unzulässig erweist, weshalb darauf im Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG nicht einzutreten ist,
dass dem Beschwerdeführer in Anbetracht der Aussichtslosigkeit der verspäteten Beschwerde die unentgeltliche Rechtspflege nicht gewährt werden kann (Art. 64 Abs. 1 BGG),
dass der unterliegende Beschwerdeführer kostenpflichtig wird (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG),
dass in den Fällen des Art. 108 Abs. 1 BGG BGG das vereinfachte Verfahren zum Zuge kommt und der Abteilungspräsident zuständig ist,
erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde nach Art. 72 ff. BGG wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wird abgewiesen.
3.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
4.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Zug schriftlich mitgeteilt.
