Considérant:
que, par arrêt du 19 novembre 2007, la Cour administrative du Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud a rejeté les requêtes de X.________ visant à la récusation de Michelle Wenger, Juge de paix auprès de la Justice de paix du district de Lausanne, et de cette juridiction en corps;
que le requérant exerce un «recours en cassation» au Tribunal fédéral à l'encontre de cette décision, concluant à son annulation, subsidiairement à l'admission de ses demandes de récusation;
que la décision attaquée concerne la récusation de magistrats dans des procédures de mainlevée d'opposition dont la valeur litigieuse s'élève, respectivement, à 300 fr. et 720 fr., de sorte que le recours en matière civile n'est pas ouvert (art. 72 al. 2 let. a et 74 al. 1 let. b LTF);
que, dès lors, la présente écriture doit être traitée en tant que recours constitutionnel au sens des art. 113 ss LTF;
que, saisi d'un tel recours, le Tribunal fédéral ne connaît de la violation de droits fondamentaux que si ce grief a été invoqué et motivé par le recourant (art. 106 al. 2, par renvoi de l'art. 117 LTF), les exigences de motivation correspondant à celles de l'art. 90 al. 1 let. b aOJ (ATF 133 III 439 consid. 3.2 p. 444);
que, en l'espèce, le recours ne satisfait aucunement à ces exigences, le recourant ne réfutant pas - par surcroît d'une manière intelligible - les motifs de la juridiction cantonale;
que, cela étant, le recours doit être déclaré irrecevable (art. 108 al. 1 let. b LTF), aux frais de son auteur (art. 66 al. 1 LTF);
que le présent arrêt relève de la compétence du juge unique (art. 108 al. 1 LTF);
par ces motifs, le Président prononce:

Le recours est irrecevable.

Les frais judiciaires, arrêtés à 500 fr., sont mis à la charge du recourant.
3.
Le présent arrêt est communiqué au recourant et à la Cour administrative du Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud.
