The complainant filed a constitutional complaint against a cantonal decision concerning legal aid in a property dispute, but withdrew the complaint before the Federal Supreme Court ruled on the merits. April 2008 zurückgezogen hat, die Beschwerde daher durch den Abteilungspräsidenten (Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG) abzuschreiben ist (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 73 BZP) und die Kosten dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 5 Abs. 2 BZP, Art. 66 Abs. 1 und 5 BGG),
verfügt der Präsident:

Das Verfahren wird als durch Rückzug der Beschwerde erledigt abgeschrieben.
2.
Die Gerichtsgebühr von Fr. 200.-- wird dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird dem Beschwerdeführer und dem Kantonsgericht St. Gallen, Einzelrichter für Rekurse im Personen-, Erb- und Sachenrecht, schriftlich mitgeteilt.

The proceedings were discontinued because the complaint had been withdrawn.
Once the appellant withdrew the filing, the matter no longer required adjudication and had to be struck from the docket by the division president.
