The appellant challenged a Basel-Stadt social insurance judgment in a disability insurance matter. The Federal Supreme Court held that the appeal did not meet the statutory requirements of Art. 42 BGG because it lacked adequate reasoning; the later corrective filing was submitted after the appeal deadline and could not cure the defect. The Court therefore did not enter into the appeal in simplified proceedings. It waived court costs, which rendered the pending request for free legal aid moot. The decision was notified to the parties, the cantonal court, the compensation office, and the Federal Office for Social Insurance.

A merely general or undeveloped criticism of the factual findings or legal assessment does not satisfy the minimum substantiation requirement. If the deficiency is not cured within the appeal period, the court may decide in simplified procedure not to enter into the matter. Where no court costs are levied under Art. 66 Abs. 1 second sentence BGG, a pending request for free legal aid becomes moot.

in die Beschwerde vom 16. November 2007 (Poststempel) gegen den Entscheid des Sozialversicherungsgerichts Basel-Stadt vom 27. September 2007,
in das Schreiben des Bundesgerichts vom 19. November 2007 an R.________, wonach die Beschwerde die gesetzlichen Formerfordernisse hinsichtlich Antrag und Begründung nicht zu erfüllen scheint und eine Verbesserung nur innert der Beschwerdefrist möglich ist,
in die daraufhin von R.________ am 30. November 2007 und damit nach Ablauf der Beschwerdefrist eingereichte Eingabe,
in Erwägung,
dass ein Rechtsmittel gemäss Art. 42 Abs. 1 und 2 BGG unter anderem die Begehren und deren Begründung zu enthalten hat, wobei in der Begründung in gedrängter Form darzulegen ist, inwiefern der angefochtene Akt Recht verletzt,
dass die einzig zu berücksichtigende Eingabe der Beschwerdeführerin vom 16. November 2007 diesen inhaltlichen Mindestanforderungen nicht genügt, da den Ausführungen nicht entnommen werden kann, inwiefern die Sachverhaltsfeststellung im Sinne von Art. 97 Abs. 1 BGG - soweit überhaupt beanstandet - unzutreffend und die darauf beruhenden Erwägungen angesichts der Verbindlichkeit der Rententabellen für das Gericht (Art. 30bis AHVG; BGE 131 V 233 E. 4.1 S. 238) rechtsfehlerhaft sein sollen,
dass deshalb im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht einzutreten ist und in Anwendung von Art. 66 Abs. 1 Satz 2 BGG auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten verzichtet wird, so dass das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Prozessführung vom 7. Januar 2008 gegenstandslos ist,
erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

2.
Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.

3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Sozialversicherungsgericht Basel-Stadt, der Ausgleichskasse Basel-Stadt und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
