At first instance in Bellinzona, the Pretura penale noted the withdrawal of the criminal complaints during the hearing. After the accused apologized and undertook to cover medical expenses and prevent their dogs from roaming freely, the complainants withdrew their complaints. The judge held that the main purpose of the proceedings had been reached and ordered the cases struck from the roll. The court also ordered the costs to be borne by the State.

Gli accusati ribadiscono di non avere visto il cane mordere __________ __________ ma riconoscono che quest'ultima non ha motivo di mentire sul fatto di essere stata morsa, ragion per cui essi si scusano per l'episodio, s'impegnano a pagare le spese mediche e a fare in modo che i loro cani non siano più lasciati liberi.
L'accusata __________ __________ rileva che essa non intendeva dire che il signor _______ è violento con le bestie, ma semplicemente che egli le scacciava quando si avvicinavano alla sua abitazione; essa si scusa per il malinteso insorto nella verbalizzazione delle sue dichiarazioni e per l'involontario senso d'offesa cagionato alla parte lesa.
