The appellant filed a challenge against an invalidity insurance decision. After being informed that the court might worsen the contested decision, the appellant withdrew the appeal by letter of 6 February 2001. The Ticino Insurance Court therefore held that the case had become moot, struck it from the docket, and ordered that no fees or costs be charged.
Withdrawal of an appeal renders the proceedings devoid of object; the court will strike the matter from the docket and, absent contrary grounds, order no court fees or costs. Where the appellant withdraws after notice of a possible reformatio in pejus, the appeal is not decided on the merits but becomes moot and is removed from the roll (consid. unreported).

letti ed esaminati gli atti;
vista la risposta 26 giugno 2000 presentata dalla parte convenuta;
visto lo scritto 30 gennaio 2001 con il quale il Tribunale ha informato la parte ricorrente che esistono gli estremi per una reformatio in pejus della decisione contestata (cfr. Doc. _);
rilevato che con lettera 6 febbraio 2001 la parte ricorrente ha comunicato il ritiro del ricorso (cfr. Doc. _);
rilevato che la causa è divenuta priva di oggetto;
viste le disposizioni della Legge di procedura 6.4.61;
decreta 1. la causa è stralciata dai ruoli;
non si percepiscono né tasse né spese;
intimazione alle parti a sensi ed effetti di legge.
