The appellants appealed against a decision of the expropriation tribunal. Before the administrative court decided the merits, their counsel informed the court on 27 February 1998 that the appeal was withdrawn. The court therefore held that the proceedings were exhausted, struck the appeal from the docket, and ordered that no fees or costs be levied.
Withdrawal of appeal; striking from the docket and costs; when the appellant withdraws the administrative appeal, the reviewing court merely records the termination of the proceedings and removes the case from the docket. In the absence of a merits decision, no substantive examination is made.
