The Federal Constitutional Court did not admit a constitutional complaint concerning a planned Bavarian referendum on leaving the Federal Republic. It held in the tenor that, as the Federal Republic is a state based on the constituent power of the German people, the Länder are not masters of the Basic Law and have no room under it for secessionist efforts. Such efforts violate the constitutional order. The decision is final.

Die Verfassungsbeschwerde wird nicht zur Entscheidung angenommen.

In der Bundesrepublik Deutschland als auf der verfassungsgebenden Gewalt des deutschen Volkes beruhendem Nationalstaat sind die Länder nicht "Herren des Grundgesetzes". Für Sezessionsbestrebungen einzelner Länder ist unter dem Grundgesetz daher kein Raum. Sie verstoßen gegen die verfassungsmäßige Ordnung.

Diese Entscheidung ist unanfechtbar.
