COURT OF APPEALS
EIGHTH DISTRICT OF TEXAS
EL PASO, TEXAS
————————————
No. 08-26-00224-CV
————————————
Abie Wolf, Appellant
v.
Duane Brockman, d/b/a Tigua Auto Sales, Appellee
On Appeal from the County Court at Law No 6
El Paso County, Texas
Trial Court No. 2018DCV1525
O R DE R
On October 2, 2026, this Court issued an order detailing various deficiencies in Appellant’s
brief under the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure. Although Appellant’s counsel had filed a
notice of appearance one day before the brief was filed, Appellant filed the noncompliant brief pro
se. The Court ordered appellant to file an amended brief that complies with the Texas Rules of
Appellate Procedure.
On October 16, 2026, the Court received another brief signed by Appellant pro se, although
counsel’s name appears on the brief’s front page. That same day, counsel filed a motion for
extension of time to file the amended brief. Counsel states that he is working to correct the brief
but has not been permitted to access the attorney portal necessary to access the record.
The motion for extension of time is GRANTED in part and DENIED in part. Appellant’s
amended brief is due November 8, 2026. The amended brief must comply with the Texas Rules of
Appellate Procedure and this Court’s October 2, 2026 order. All future filings on Appellant’s
behalf must be signed and filed by counsel of record. Tex. R. App. P. 9.1(a).
The Clerk of this Court is DIRECTED to take all steps necessary to ensure that Appellant’s
counsel is promptly granted access to the attorney portal needed to access the record.
IT IS SO ORDERED this 20th day of October 2026.
