At least of the members of an extra-parliamentary commission must be women, and at least 40 per cent must be men. In the longer term, equal representation of both genders should be aimed for.
If the proportion of women or men is less than 40 per cent, the Federal Chancellery shall request the department concerned to provide written justification.
