As a rule, foreign requests shall be executed free of charge.
The Federal Council shall determine the conditions under which the requesting State may be charged full or partial costs.
The costs of a Swiss request that are reimbursed to another State shall be charged to the proceedings that caused the request to be made.
The Federal Council shall regulate the sharing of costs between the Confederation and the cantons.
