  1. Providers of the public telephony service must ensure the following within 12 months of this Amendment coming into force:
    1. free-of-charge access to the services referred to in Article 27 paragraph 1;
    2. routing in accordance with Article 28;
    3. fulfilment of the obligations set out in Article 28a paragraphs 1–5.
  2. Mobile telephony licensees must fulfil the obligation set out in Article 29a paragraph 1 within six months of this Amendment coming into force. They must ensure access in accordance with Article 28a paragraph 6 is available within 24 months of this Amendment coming into force.
  3. Assistance and advisory services wishing to continue to avail themselves of caller location, device-specific location functions and the right to require the display of callers’ numbers must submit applications in accordance with Article 29 paragraph 3 and Article 84 paragraph 5 within six months of this Amendment coming into force. If OFCOM rejects the application, it shall determine the date from which caller location information must be deactivated. Deactivation must occur within 24 months of this Amendment coming into force. Until the deactivation date, assistance and advisory services may continue to use caller location information, and providers of the public telephony service must continue to ensure that the function is available.
  4. For 12 months after this Amendment comes into force, providers of the public telephony service must ensure the availability of caller location information for numbers for which caller location must be guaranteed under Article 29 paragraph 3 OTS in the version of 1 January 20211. They must deactivate caller location information within six months of the expiry of this period.
