In order to carry out its tasks in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 1 letter a, the FIS may have a person stopped in order to establish their identity and to question them briefly in accordance with Article 23.
The person shall be stopped by cantonal police officers.
The FIS may require the person stopped to provide their personal details and produce identity documents.
