Where there is an intelligence interest or other public interest, the FIS may provide services to other federal and cantonal authorities in the following areas in particular:
secure transmission;
transport of goods or persons;
advice and situation assessment;
protection and defence against attacks on the information or communications infrastructure or on secrecy.
Where there is an intelligence interest, the FIS may also provide the foregoing services to third parties in Switzerland or abroad.
