Art. 7

(Art. 2 par. 1 and 2 as well as Art. 43 and 44 GAOA)

1. The Central Federal Administration comprises:
   1. the departments and the Federal Chancellery;
   2. the general secretariats of the departments and their other subdivisions;
   3. the groups;
   4. ¹ the federal offices and their subdivisions.
2. Administrative units in accordance with paragraph 1 letters c and d may also have other names.
3. The administrative units listed in paragraph 1 letters b-d shall be subordinate to a department. They are bound by the department’s directives.
4. Federal offices may be combined into groups if this improves the manageability of the department.
