Contributions are paid for building construction if the building project:
1. costs more than CHF 5 million;
2. is cost-effective;
3. satisfies the requirements for the allocation of tasks and cooperation among higher education institutions;
4. meets stringent environmental and energy efficiency standards; and
5. includes facilitated access for the disabled.
Contributions for building usage are paid if:
1. usage entails recurring costs exceeding CHF 300,000;
2. usage has been agreed for a period of at least five years;
3. usage is cost-effective;
4. usage satisfies the requirements for the allocation of tasks and cooperation among higher education institutions;
5. the building used meets stringent environmental and energy efficiency standards; and
6. the building used includes facilitated access for the disabled.
