Any person who claims priority under the Paris Convention1or exhibition priority must file a declaration of priority with the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI). The IPI may require the submission of a priority document.2
The claim is forfeited if the time limits and formal requirements laid down by the Ordinance are not complied with.
Registration of priority is merely a presumption in favour of the proprietor of the trade mark.
