In principle, mail-order trade in medicinal products is prohibited.
A licence may only be issued under the following conditions:
1. there is a doctor’s prescription for the medicinal product;
2. no safety requirements oppose it;
3. appropriate consultation is guaranteed;
4. sufficient medical supervision of the effect of the medicinal product is guaranteed.
The Federal Council shall regulate the details.
The cantons shall issue the authorisation.
