In the case of small buildings and installations in an area served by public sewers but which for overriding reasons cannot be immediately connected to such sewers, a building permit may be granted where it is possible to provide the connection in the short term and that in the meantime the wastewater may be disposed of in another satisfactory manner. Before the authority grants a building permit in such circumstances, it shall consult with the cantonal water protection agency.
The Federal Council may define the exceptions in greater detail.
